The Office of Resource and Information Technology was established on November 28, 2006, according to the ministerial regulations establishing a government agency in Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, issued by the Ministry of Education (Government Gazette, Volume 123, Section 118 Kor, dated November 27, 2006, page 9). It developed from the Office of Academics Resource at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Technical Campus and became the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Bangkok.
The Academic Resource Center has recently switched from the Horizon system to the Alist system, developed by the Computer Center of Prince of Songkla University’s Hat Yai Campus. This change was supported by the Office of the Higher Education Commissionand included the implementation of a library access management system that helps to track government assets. Additionally, the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Chalermprakiat 80th Birthday Anniversary Building was completed on December 5, 2007. In 2012,the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology relocated from the Academic Resources Center Building to the 80th Anniversary Celebration Building. Currently, their offices are located on the 1st floor (L side), 3rd to 5th floors (L side), 6th floor (R side), and in 2021, the 9th floor of the Creative Technology Laboratory Building.
